Pablo Tena

Senior · Drones & UAM

A pioneer in U-space regulation and specific operations for professional drones and eVTOL vehicles. He supported the first LUC authorisation for the Mediterranean corridor and currently takes part in AESA's working group on vertiports.

Career

Pablo entered the aviation sector from the most practical angle: as a commercial drone pilot. After several years flying unmanned aircraft for industrial inspection missions and audiovisual shoots, he decided to study Law with the idea of combining both vocations. Today he is one of the few legal-sector professionals with an active operator licence.

He has supported three Spanish operators in obtaining the Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) and has been instrumental in negotiating the first BVLOS authorisations in the Mediterranean corridor. He currently serves as an invited expert in AESA's working group on vertiports and on the eVTOL technical committee of CEN/CENELEC.

On a day-to-day basis he advises startups in the U-space ecosystem, eVTOL manufacturers and insurers specialised in unmanned civil aviation. His technical-legal profile allows him to translate complex regulatory nuances into actionable operational roadmaps for product and engineering teams.
